Mike’s Agency requests Prevailing Wage Determination (PWD) from National Processing Center (NPC)

5-6 months before start date

Advertisement process begins with State Workforce Agency

120 days before start date

Forms are filed directly with NPC. Labor Certification is issued.

6-8 weeks

USCIS (US Citizenship and Immigration Services) processes the petition

1-3 weeks after labor Certification is issued

6.

H2B petition is approved and issued

After 2-3 weeks

7.

Visa interviews at home origin US embassy

2-3 weeks before start date

Arrival of H2B workers; season and program set off!
